Paper Types
Modern paper (or stock) comes in many weights and qualities. Stock
weight is measured in grams per square metre (gm2) and this applies
to all papers for all print products from stationery to catalogues.
Standard letterheads are usually around 100gsm and
high quality letterheads start at 120 gm2.
Business cards are usually of a heavier weight with the standard being around 300gm2. A variety of finishes are available for business cards including unfinished, matt laminated, gloss and textured.
